Child Safety Standards
Applies to the Accretion app, operated by Balthasar Höfinger, Austria. Last updated: August 2026.
Accretion is a planning tool for private gaming groups. It has no public feed, no discovery and no contact with strangers: groups are joined by invite code only, and the minimum age to use the app is 14. We nevertheless maintain and enforce the following standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
1. Zero tolerance
Content or behaviour that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors is prohibited in every part of the app — chat messages, images, group names, event titles and profiles. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion and any attempt to arrange or promote the exploitation of a minor. Violations lead to immediate content removal and account termination.
2. In-app reporting
Every user can report content and users directly in the app: long-press any chat message to report it (a snapshot of the message is preserved for review), and report or block any user from their profile sheet. Reports are reviewed promptly by the operator.
3. Enforcement
On a confirmed violation we remove the content, terminate the offending account and ban re-registration where possible. Group owners and members with moderation permissions can additionally remove content and members from their groups at any time.
4. Reporting to authorities
We comply with applicable child safety laws. Apparent CSAM and credible cases of child endangerment are reported to the competent regional and national authorities — in Austria the Meldestelle für Kinderpornografie und Kindersextourismus of the Bundeskriminalamt (meldestelle@interpol.at) — and, where appropriate, to international bodies such as NCMEC. Evidence is preserved for law enforcement.
5. Point of contact
Questions and notices regarding child safety in Accretion: support@accretion.at. The operator is prepared to discuss the prevention measures above and their enforcement.
